Proteomics research group
The focus of our research is the development of tools for protein expression and modification analysis, commonly called proteomics, and the application of these to the analysis of mechanisms underlying disease development and progression. We are developing chemical labelling methods for quantification of expression and modification with software tools to aid the analysis. The main areas of interest are the analysis of membrane bound and associated proteins and their modifications; the development of focused methods to analyze changes in functional pathways such as DNA repair and changes in phosphorylation states in signaling pathways. These are being applied in the analysis of cancer and neuronal development. Individual projects are detailed in the links given in the panel on the right.
