Understanding molecular mechanisms

The main reason for lymphoma-related deaths are relapse and recurrent disease. We are interested in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that result in relapse and development of resistance. Thus, we use primary patient material to investigate the molecular make-up of relapsed tumors, with the aim to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms of relapse/chemotherapy resistance in mantle cell lymphoma and identify substances that can be used to treat refractory and relapsed disease.
