Dr. Kristina Lundberg was today appointed as Associate Professor in Immunotechnology by the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University.
Her research is focused on how to trigger the body’s own immune system to fight cancer. Currently, the team is performing studies on bladder cancer and acute myeloid leukemia. Based on analysis of immune cells such as T-cells, which are detrimental for an efficient anti-cancer immune response, they are identifying potential novel drug targets to fight the diseases.
