The European Spallation Source (ESS) today announced its first successful user collaboration for protein structure determination using neutron crystallography, carried out between Prof. Mats Ohlin of the Dept. of Immunotechnology and Dr. Zoë Fisher of ESS. The structure, which represents the first neutron crystal structure of a member of the large set of carbohydrate bindning modules (CBM) in complex with its carbohydrat ligand, has subsequently been published.
