Protein Technology

The division is comprised of three parts: the research and development group (Protein Technology), the proteomic service platform (SCIBLU) and part of the CREATE Health centre. For those of you primarily interested in getting samples run, please go directly to the resource centre. Otherwise you can browse an introduction to proteomics, see who we are, look at our research areas or download protocols covering various aspects of proteome analysis.
We run a wide range of courses both at the undergraduate, graduate and advanced levels. The education programs are described here.

The research focus of Protein Technology is in the area of soft- and hardware for protein separation and identification. The research is focussed on developing basic methodologies such as protein-protein interaction and membrane protein analysis and their application to the study of breast cancer.

We are currently developing an in-depth index of proteins and post-translational modifications occuring in breast tissue.
